Face-Melting Quote of the Day

From St. Augustine of Hippo:

"The love of worldly possessions is a sort of bird line, which entangles the soul, and and prevents it flying to God."

  1. I think St. John of the Cross said something similar: that it didn't matter if the bird was held by a chain or simply a slender thread; it still couldn't be free.

BTW, thank you for your beautiful blog. It's truly lovely to look at and inspiring to read.

I don't know you personally, but am very excited about your approaching ordination. You are going to be such a holy and awesome priest!

You are in my prayers, especially during Eucharistic Adoration. You are deeply loved and appreciated by God's people. And who can imagine the Joy Jesus finds in you.

God bless you as you await becoming a priest forever.......

  2. Thank you so much for the kind words and especially for your prayers. I attribute all that I am able to accomplish to the grace of God poured out in response to the prayers of you and so many others. May Our Lord bless you abundantly.
